Anyone else having issue with mobile users?

Unread post by CandySayz »

Hi there

Long time user, second time poster :D
Just a quick question really. It has happened quite a fair bit recently to be honest > Mobile users viewing my cam are informing me it is frozen or veeeeery slow.
Whenever someone comes in and claims the 'frozen-ness' statement, I always ask if they are on mobile... And every time, without fail the answer is yes.

Anybody else having this issue? Or to shine some light on this would be absolutely fantastic

Kisses and other crimes

Hi Candy, I havent heard any mentions of mobile users freezing lately but as Justcamit software is so old now its no surprise. It may also be a local issue though due to no other reports of it coming through at the moment. Mobile devices need alot more internet from you to support them so checking JCI settings may help, info here http://dailypayservice.com/faq/index.ph ... artlang=en

Thanks

Hiya

Thanks for the reply. I'm on mac, so using the browser version. I don't think there is a way to get in to the settings as much as the software...? Unless there is something I'm missing?

But once more: Thanks for getting back to me x

Hi, im surprised the online version is allowing mobile users to connect at all. You may already know, the online justcamit here www.videochat.tv is using flash and also uses the lowest settings giving the lowest quality, no HD etc

It will definitely be hindering the amount of clients that can view you.

Under "mycam" in the online version look for the tab "camera" and change settings there, this may help a little. Its the only settings available.

Thanks again, Admin x

I wonder if a Windows-on-Mac converter/program would be any good for this, so I can run the JustCam .exe? Anyone out there have any experience with this? Might just give it a shot

Hi, this may help https://www.winehq.org/

Let me know if you get it working and I can look into writing a guide for others.

Thanks

Hiya Admin

I thought I would just update ya'll with the situation. I'll keep this short and sweet:

As I am using mac, I downloaded a program so I can run windows. And yes, it seems to be working much better now! If you ever have any questions about it all, please feel free to ask.

All the best

Candy x
